Bloomberry’s Jeju Island Casino Suspends Operations for a Month
Philippine gambling operator Bloomberry Resorts Corporation announced previous today that its only overseas casino Jeju Sun, situated on the South Korean Jeju Island, will be suspended for a one-month period. The suspension comes as a penalty imposed by the gambling that is local CRD following a concluded investigation of the acts associated with location’s former managing team.
Bloomberry said in a filing to the philippine stock exchange that the investigation was concerned with the so-called ‘lvegas casino’ gaming tax payment practices, introduced by jeju sun’s previous owners and management wednesday.

The suspension is effective as of Monday, November 16 and it is slated to finish on Tuesday, December 15. Bloomberry pointed out that the location are prepared to be relaunched on December 16, right with time for the upcoming holiday breaks tourist top. Jeju Sun is being upgraded and will debut brand new and expanded existing facilities when it reopens doors for visitors.
Bloomberry bought the casino through its South subsidiary that is korean Korea Co. Ltd. The venue had been then rebranded Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino.
The gambling operator stated in its filing that hotel operations would not be affected during the future one-month casino suspension system. Bloomberry also noted it will use the one-month period to complete the update and renovation regarding the casino flooring and associated facilities, as well as the expansion regarding the ball room.
